I really liked how close the hotel was to everything. The guy at reception, a local from Rio, was very helpful and gave us a few tips. The room was simple yet cozy for a good night's sleep, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and when we asked for a blanket they brought one right away. Everything was in pristine condition. The view from the hotel overlooking the river is gorgeous. Breakfast was tasty, offering bread, eggs, cold cuts, juice, coffee, cake, pastries, fruit, couscous, and more. The only issue was a small detail from someone who cares about cleanliness: the shower head in the bathroom could be cleaner, a strong bleach rinse would make it look whiter, but it needs scrubbing. Even swapping it for a model that’s easier to clean would help the housekeeping staff. It’s a minor point that could improve the overall cleanliness.

The location was excellent, and the view from breakfast was the most beautiful thing, not to mention the super helpful and attentive staff. The photos didn’t do justice to the accommodation; the bathroom didn’t have a shower enclosure and also lacked a view.

I enjoyed the breakfast, the dinner served at the lodge’s own restaurant, and the balcony with a view of the São Francisco River. The external noise was annoying.

The location is fantastic, and the café area offers a privileged view of the Rio São Francisco; the room was very comfortable and helped me rest well. Finally, the spot is excellent and close to downtown and Penedo’s tourist sites. The only drawback is the bathroom: while it met my expectations, it was very small and posed a safety risk because the toilet and sink were too close together. Apart from that, the hotel was fantastic.
