The guest house is in old Bukhara, close to all sights and within walking distance. A green market opens from 6 to 9 am, and small shops sell water and tea‑time snacks. Staying at Shafran was comfortable, almost like home. My husband and I occupied a large two‑storey house. Breakfasts were tasty and hearty, served in a beautiful hall made by the owner and his son, and you feel like a king at the table. The owner and his family were especially hospitable, kind and caring. Conversations with the host, Sharif, were enjoyable, interesting, and enlightening. Thank you! Prosperity to you!

Shariff and his family gave us the warmest Uzbek hospitality. He welcomed us at 1 am after our late train arrival. The next morning we enjoyed a beautiful breakfast spread. By booking two rooms we had the entire house to ourselves; it was palace‑like. Though originally intended for his son, they ended up turning it into a B&B. Best value for money and our best stay in Uzbekistan. The location is excellent, just a 10‑minute walk through interesting alleys into the historic centre. Shariff also arranged taxis to and from the airport and offered great food recommendations. The only downside was not being able to stay longer.

We were four and rented the whole house, a big plus. It’s a short walk from Bukhara’s historic monuments, and the host was welcoming and helped us with any issues. The house’s décor was very beautiful, almost a museum! It was quiet at night. The house was a bit dark because the first floor essentially has no windows. The blankets (we were there in October, so they were needed) were of low quality. Breakfast could have been served a bit later; we were on vacation and could afford to be flexible, but when guests were delayed, the food stayed on the table for over 30 minutes. More time could have been spent cleaning the guest house.

“Отличная комната в Бухаре”

The location is excellent—close to the old town center yet still in a quiet spot. We mostly walked around. The room is very clean and beautiful. The owner is a plaster master and worked with his son; everything is done with soul. The room is spacious and cozy. The house has two rooms for rent. If you rent both, a family of four will find no better option. The booking description was a bit unclear about the shower and toilet being separate from the room, which is a bit surprising. Both rooms are on the second floor. One room has a shower and toilet on the upper level, the other on the lower level. It might be slightly uncomfortable, but overall we liked it.
