I can't understand where the positive reviews come from. It feels like we were on another planet. Cheap hostel, in a basement, with a bunch of neighboring rooms. The only plus is the location, but in Krápiňský Topľec there are no remote apartments, all are next to the thermal. Likewise, there is no problem finding a parking spot if there isn't a private one. Our "studio" for 60 € turned out to be a narrow 12 m space (not 20 m), so we expected to sit on a tiny balcony… but the balcony was completely flooded by rain because it has no protection ((:. So if you don't have other options, cover your ears (because you hear every rustle from every neighbor), close your noses, because you lie with your head on a ruined Tito-era tile, and in the morning run as far as possible, because you have no place to make breakfast… and you can't open the windows because of the terrible rumble from the road. That said, the shower cabin is of adequate size and cleanliness – that’s probably the only positive. The worst could have been everything (see photo): an old, poorly working stove flooded by previous tourists, terrible dishes, an old knitted mattress cover instead of a sheet, and instead of a mattress – foam, no space, no hooks or shelves, just nothing. It feels like you were shoved into a stable where you have to endure. Also, we were given two rolls of toilet paper left by previous tourists.

The accommodation was very nice with a lovely little terrace overlooking the forest. The apartment was excellently equipped, and the hosts were very honest and friendly. They let us in the apartment six hours before the scheduled check‑in, which we especially appreciated. During the five‑day stay we felt at home. Worth returning to enjoy the peace, relaxation, and beauty of the green hills of Krapina Toplice.
