Located on Blackpool's promenade, 1 mile from Blackpool Tower, the 4-star Grand Hotel Blackpool features an indoor pool, modern gym, and stunning Irish Sea views from many rooms. Each modern room includes a 32-inch flat-screen TV, tea/coffee, and work desk. The hotel is 2.5 miles from Pleasure Beach, with tram stops within a 5-minute walk and Blackpool North Station a 5-minute drive away.

The hotel’s public areas were spotless. However, the family rooms were the only ones not updated; the beds were dirty, springs had broken, and the room we were assigned in the corridor had a strong drug smell. The location is inconvenient for families, and you have to read the fine print because even though the hotel advertises free parking, it actually costs £7 a night.

We got what we were after, though it felt a bit pricey; overall it was a decent stay. The rooms were a little worn and we even found trash tucked behind the bedside drawers.

Location ok. Very run down visited last year was told it would be renovated and more staff owners must be politicians all lies
