Located in Bernay’s historic centre, Hôtel Le Lion d’Or offers 2‑star comfort just three minutes from the train station. The spot is spot on and easy to spot. Parking is on the premises and there’s a bunch of restaurants nearby. The staff were top‑class. The bathroom felt worn out, the sink was in bad shape, and the grime from the age of the bathroom was obvious.

The location is perfect right in the heart of Bernay. The room was clean and the bedding comfy. The TV and the room lock were broken; we called reception to report it and they offered no solution.

The hotel is plain but the room is roomy with great bedding. The reception was friendly and there’s private parking. The hallways are a bit dreary and some renovations are needed.

The town‑center spot was great and we could park in the courtyard. The person who greeted us was friendly and welcoming. The room was comfy and the breakfast spread was tasty.
