The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and the place feels like home 😊. If you’re looking for a safe spot to stay in Matara, I definitely recommend this place; there’s a grocery shop and food and beverage shops nearby. The bathroom is a bit small, so if you’re taller than 5' 9" you’ll have trouble taking a shower.

I stayed at VThree with my family in December 2025 and it was a great value for the money. The rooms were spotlessly clean and spacious, with a wide screen TV, mini fridge, and dining table with chairs - my kid loved watching Netflix on the big screen while I was out snorkeling at Polhena beach. The hotel's location is perfect, just a 3-minute walk from the beach and close to other attractions like Mirissa and the Dutch fort.

The location was a breeze to find, which was a big plus. The new rooms seemed okay, but the bathroom was a bit of a squeeze. And, unfortunately, there were plenty of mosquitoes buzzing around, with no mosquito net to keep them at bay.

I was really happy with my stay here, especially considering how last-minute it was. The host was super friendly and welcoming, and his parents were around too, which made me feel even more at ease. The place itself was spotless, calm, and private, and it was great to see that they catered to different budgets with various room options.

This place exceeded all my expectations - the room was a perfect blend of comfort and functionality. The air-conditioning worked a charm, and the beds were so comfy I didn't want to get out of them. The kitchen area was a lifesaver when I needed a quick snack, and the bathroom was top-notch with great water pressure. I loved lounging in the spacious living area, and the balcony access was the cherry on top. The host had even set up Netflix on the TV, which was a lovely touch.
