“Hyggelig hotell med fantastisk frokost”

A practical hotel with a nice location, rooms with floor‑to‑ceiling windows overlooking the river, clean and tasty breakfast, and an outdoor terrace with service; a free room was available upon arrival, and I got soft beds and a safe. The room was small, the wardrobe had few drawers, shelves, and hooks, the large hard pillows were hard to move, and there was a bit of hassle with room cleaning right after breakfast; the soap dispensers didn’t work and there were no cleaning cloths.

Everything was great—location, bed size, cleanliness, service, restaurant, breakfast—and I’d definitely return to Bilbao. I had concerns about the Montacoches, but it worked perfectly.

“Great location, gorgeous views of the Guggenheim and the river.”

The location was superb, with stunning views of the Guggenheim and the river, and it was close to many nice coffee shops and local bars; the relaxed bar and terrace offered an extensive cocktail list. Nothing was lacking.
