The place was remote in the countryside. The junction access to the site was a little hazardous. A mirror on the opposite side of the road would be very helpful because other drivers speed around a blind bend when leaving the site.

The cabin is well‑located and far enough from the road entrance that you rarely hear it. The facilities are good and it’s only a few miles from Borough Green, where a Co‑op, Sainsbury’s and plenty of takeaway and restaurant options exist. The hot water takes some getting used to, so give yourself extra time for a shower, even though clear signs explain it.

The setting is lovely and a few miles from amenities, offering great value for money. The road is very busy even early on, so if you stay in Barn 6 expect a lot of road noise. It wasn’t a big deal for me, but it could be a challenge for others who need sleep.
