The 6‑bedroom offered a great price/value ratio, and the hotel was quick to reach from the motorway with a single EV charging point, though that was insufficient for a property of this size. The last kilometer in the dark during rain felt a bit adventurous, and inside our room there was neither a fridge nor a kettle.

We expected a typical Austrian vibe, but upon arrival everything was already over‑the‑top Halloween décor, kitschy everywhere. On top of that, kids had to pay €15 per day for the playground, Wi‑Fi was €5 per person per day, the sauna was far too pricey, and drinks cost as much as in no other hotel we’ve stayed at. We were excited for the hotel and ended up completely disappointed.

The location was lovely – a 3 km walk into Söll along a beautiful forest trail – and the room was clean and simple. Phillip and his team provided amazing service, keeping my bags while I ran a race and letting me shower when I returned, which was very thoughtful and greatly appreciated. I would have liked a kettle in the room.
