The hotel is good, a solid alternative to the overpriced places in Amsterdam, and the location is convenient. The hallway carpet needs a makeover.

The spot is close to bus stop 357 for a 30‑minute trip around Amsterdam, near a small lake and the Amsterdamse Bos forest. The breakfast area is very nice, good value for money, and the welcome was friendly. The room feels a bit outdated, blinds are broken, the breakfast bread is average, parking is small, and street parking is paid.

It felt like home. The double‑bed room was comfortable, had a kettle and tea, and the breakfast was basic but tasty.

The location is fine, the continental breakfast is pretty good with a wide selection of sandwiches and eggs cooked to your liking, and the room is reasonably spacious with everything you need. It was far too hot in the hotel, but I was able to cool the room by opening the window for an hour. They call themselves a boutique hotel, but there’s nothing boutique about it. The Wi‑Fi is mediocre.

The hotel is good, but its old‑fashioned style detracts from the overall experience. The carpet and wallpaper were loose throughout the building, and the bathroom layout was poor, so the whole room got wet while showering. Also, there’s no air‑conditioning in the rooms, so it gets very hot in summer.
