A very quiet spot near Blantyre, located on a small wildlife reserve, the room rate included a tour to see the animals. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was also good. Nothing special seemed wrong to us.

The grounds are nice, the activities are good, and the pool is great—better suited for a day visit than a stay. The room was rundown, breakfast was disappointing (no cereals, fruit all “finished,” and only a few muffins for the number of guests), and cycling wasn’t available.

The setting inside this private wildlife park is gorgeous and the perfect way to start a holiday in Malawi; animals are only 100 m from the breakfast table if you dine early in the morning. The staff are incredibly friendly and the breakfast selection is wide. Game drives, guided walks and fishing are a lot of fun, and the pool, though a bit cold this season, is still beautiful. The park itself is lovely with plenty of wildlife. The apartment could use a touch of renovation, but it is very spacious and pleasant.

The staff I encounter year after year add a special charm to the place, making me feel cared for and safe. The only downside is that the trash needs to be removed from the fountain near the golf course reception building.

The workers are unquestionably the best, their long tenure makes you feel welcome. However, people often throw their trash on the property, especially around the fountain by the large reception building.
