The Ship Inn in Sandgate, a Victorian cottage‑style inn, sits just 10 m from the pebble beach and 5 min from Folkestone Harbour. Rooms feature private baths, tea/coffee facilities, TV, hairdryer, and 180° Channel views. Complimentary parking, free Wi‑Fi, and a traditional pub restaurant add charm. Nearby, the Eurotunnel Terminal is 10 min, Dover ferry 16 min, Canterbury 20 min, Hythe 5 min.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean with good beds and a modern bathroom featuring a nice shower. Breakfast is usually served at a small table in the room, and on nice days it can be taken on the terrace. The location is superb: rooms with terraces right on the sea, walks along the beach to Folkestone and Hythe are available, and there is a good bus connection for the return; the ferry and tunnel are easily reachable. Many restaurants and bars are right nearby. Parking is only possible on public lots. Between the accommodation and the beach there are two‑sided parking spots in a narrow street, but finding a free one is difficult. For breakfast we would have liked a wider selection (cereal, juice, fruit). The room is quite small and offers little storage space for suitcases and bags.

The location and view were amazing; the room was clean and had everything you needed; breakfast in the room was a nice touch; the host was very friendly. Nothing else.

Convenient for the Channel Tunnel, clean and comfortable accommodation, welcoming and lovely hosts, good breakfast served in our room, value for money. The exterior was a little tired.
