Sleep In Hamburg Kajüten

I stayed in the city centre, but it was very noisy. The bar/club was right by my window, which was fine because I was exhausted and wanted to sleep, but it was a bit hard to fall asleep because the club was loud and the neighbours next door were snoring. The reception only opened at 15:00, so I had trouble figuring out where to go after getting the key, the staff didn’t speak English and they were a little rude on the phone from the start, and the local staff were speaking a different language.

“Für uns nicht wieder...”

Nähe der Landungsbrücken, hatten eine Veranstaltung am Samstag,da wollten wir fussläufig zur Unterkunft kommen. Netter Empfang bei der Schlüsselübergabe. Es war extra vermerkt,dass sich die Unterkunft im Hinterhaus befindet,das fanden wir gut, an der Straße ist es meist ja unruhiger. Was nicht dabei stand: Im Erdgeschoss und Innenhof,also quasi vor dem Zimmerfenster befand sich eine Partykneipe: Samstag Morgen war ab ca 6.15 etwas "ruhiger", am Sonntag dann erst um 7.30 und auschecken war um 11.Klar im Reeperbahnviertel ist gern was los, aber das war heftig. Also nur was für extreme Partypeople geeignet.(nein.wir sind keine "spiessigen Landeier".und eher bei Metal und Punkkonzerten, also Musik und Lautstärke eher gewohnt und kein Problem.) Ausstattung sehr spartanisch,nur Bett (dieses war angenehm hart) im Zimmer vorhanden,das hätte uns aber allein nicht gestört. Klar Nachttischlampe wär nett gewesen.etwas frische Farbe könnte auch mal wieder an die Wände.Nur 2 Steckdosen im Raum vorhanden.wer sein Handy am Bett braucht sollte mind. 3m Kabel haben

The room was small but spotlessly clean. The bed was too low for me and the mattress was too thin, which is fine for young people but not for me, and the bathroom lacked hooks for hanging towels.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location is great and the value for money was optimal! The room had a bed and a bathroom, which is perfectly sufficient because you’re not going to Hamburg to spend time in the room (except sleeping)! The noise level is a bit louder on weekends but with the window closed it’s very muffled! Everything was as expected and perfect! Thank you!

The advantage was that it was right on the Reeperbahn. The downside was the cleanliness of the bathroom.
