The value for money is good and the staff are nice people, but the place was not clean – there were stained linens, spider webs in the bathroom, ants on my clothes, and it was far from the center.

“Secluded stay within walking distance of beaches and restaurants”

We really enjoyed our stay at Chekesh Casa! The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Super close to Tubod Beach and Marine Sanctuary, and plenty of places to eat nearby. Motorbike rental was also arranged through the host which was very convenient. We even ended up extending our stay! The property is located away from the main road, which is great as it’s much more quiet, no noisy motorbikes. Beautiful garden on the property and the rooms are tucked away making it feel very private. Noticed some reviews criticise the wifi but we were able to use social media and stream what we liked and when we liked. Either way, you’re here for a holiday, go outside, don’t sit in the room on your phones! The only downside was a plastic kettle; it would be nice to see it replaced with all‑metal, but that’s a personal health preference that probably won’t bother most people.

“Recommended stay in San Juan”

The location is nice, a bit off the main road so it’s quiet. The rooms are tidy and in a cozy courtyard, with good air‑conditioning and Wi‑Fi. A scooter is arranged easily, and the at‑home massage was top! Dining at the Chekesh bar in the evening is a must‑try—delicious curry. Nothing negative.

Everything was great, the garden is magnificent. The owner rents a Honda scooter that works very well. Nothing negative.
