“Pour se détendre”
We stayed only one night, but it was very quiet! It’s a bit too far from the city center.

The place is really well situated on the west side, and every staff member is kind and friendly, making you feel at home. Nothing to complain about.

The countryside around the hotel was tranquil, and the pool was decent. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the meals we had at the hotel—both dinner and breakfast—were excellent. The roof restaurant offered a great view, and overall the place was good value for money. It isn’t a 5‑star hotel, but it’s worth the price. The Wi‑Fi only worked in reception, and the fridge in our room was broken, but otherwise everything was fine.

The staff were super kind and helpful, and we didn’t miss anything. The food was great and very affordable. The view of the Valley of the Kings was magnificent, the pool was clean and refreshing. Everyone was perfect. Huge thanks to Mohamed, his friend, and all the other staff.

The staff were eager to help us arrange tours (taxi to the Valley of the Kings, to Luxor, to the airport, a Nile river cruise). The food—breakfast and dinner each day—was excellent on the terrace overlooking the lit rock faces above the Valley of the Kings. The wine, unusually good for Egypt, was very affordable. The room, the restaurants, and the whole hotel were spotless. The quality‑price ratio was outstanding, and card payment was hassle‑free. They convinced us that a small, locally run hotel can still provide excellent service. The location is a bit problematic; on the west bank of the Nile there isn’t much to do besides historic sites, and there’s no space for evening walks. In the end, the great service at the hotel made that irrelevant.
