The homestay and food were average, and I would not recommend it to others; I didn't like anything.

The location is excellent, with the Brahmaputra River bank only a 10‑minute walk away; the guesthouse sits on a lane off Lamb Road in a quiet area and is close to many cafés and restaurants. Mr. Dimpal and the staff are very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated, but otherwise there is nothing else to dislike; the approach roads may be prone to flooding.

Dimpal, the manager, was a great host and helped at all times, going out of his way to make my stay and travel arrangements effortless. The Urban Grandeur has a homestay feel, and the lounge area was very comfortable. Minor issues with the bathroom – hot water is available but the pressure is low, and the slippers provided were many sizes too small – but they weren't worth complaining about.
