“Tres correct pour le prix”

The place is very well situated in the old town, everything is walkable and there are plenty of nearby attractions. The bed is comfortable, the Wi‑Fi works, and there’s a toilet and shower in the room. Air‑conditioning is available. The price is 9 euro per night. However, there are no windows (the wall behind the window), and a colony of ants made their way through the floor— they’re not aggressive but they do surprise you at first.

I walked into the room and it was full of old food and a dirty bed; when I called the owner he just hung up—apparently he was busy celebrating Songkran.

“Good value, NOT a secure space”

The place is in a great spot and offers good value; I paid just under 400 baht per night for a private room, and the bed was comfortable with clean sheets and thick pillows. Check‑in is only via WhatsApp, so you need a SIM card and there’s no direct contact with the host. The security is weak: the main door doesn’t always latch, the room door is a “pop lock” instead of a dead‑bolt, and the sliding doors to the deck can be easily opened, meaning the whole building feels insecure. The CCTV camera only covers the main entrance. When I told the host I had an unwanted visitor at my private door at 02:30, they only responded the next morning saying it wasn’t a normal occurrence. During my three‑night stay I had three people jump the railing both at night and during the day, and there’s no fridge in the kitchen.
