The cabin was cozy with a large window, the chef was excellent, and the staff were wonderful – we had a truly unforgettable experience.

“A lovely experience”

The boat is lovely and the onboard rooms are comfortable with air conditioning; seeing life in the backwaters was fantastic and the crew made a good lunch for us. However, the boat is part of a resort, so after we returned from the cruise at 6 pm we were left at the resort for the rest of the time and were told to eat dinner and breakfast there, which was not what we expected – we wanted a bit more nature and a morning cruise back. We could have simply paid for a 5‑hour trip.

“Good experience, staff lovely. Managers need to be spoke to on several occasions as things were not right”

The boat was lovely, but it spent more time moored than exploring the backwaters. The tour didn’t start until 1 pm and finished at 6 pm. Food was eaten in the hotel, full board, not cooked on board. We were moored right in front of the hotel, and there were no drink facilities on the boat – we had to ask for overnight drinks, water, tea, coffee. I would recommend only staying one night.

“Beautiful river tour and food! Shame about communication and broken fridge”

The location was beautiful, the welcome to the hotel was lovely, the food was incredible, the river tour was stunning, and the boat had extremely comfortable and clean rooms – one of the highlights of our trip. The house boat stay and hotel were almost perfect, but a few disappointments stood out. Despite a warm welcome upon arrival, on departure it felt like we were just thrown out – no goodbye or thanks from staff, no help with our bags, breakfast wasn’t ready when they said it would be, so we missed it. Communication before and during the trip was terrible, with unanswered questions. The fridge on the boat was broken or missing, so we couldn’t keep drinks cold, though the hotel eventually supplied a cooler box with ice. When we boarded the boat, it wasn’t explained whether food and drink were included, which caused confusion; we ordered prawns from a local market that we didn’t need because plenty of food was already available. The crew on the boat were nice, but the guide’s information on the boat felt unnecessary and slightly spoiled the tranquility.

Excellent boat and lunch!. NA. Dinner could have better. À la cart on boat would have really aced it!
