The Cliffs Hotel and Spa, situated on a cliff overlooking Shell Beach, offers a serene oceanfront retreat. Each guest room features a 42-inch flat-screen TV, coffee machine, and work desk. The hotel boasts a full-service spa, oceanfront outdoor pool, and hot tub/sauna (adults only, 7-10pm). A 24-hour gym and Marisol restaurant with Latin cuisine and live entertainment are also available.

My husband and I enjoyed a quick, relaxing getaway at the Cliffs Hotel and Spa; we were upgraded to a King Cliffs Signature room with a lovely view of the pool and ocean, thanks to Hostess Mikayla’s thoughtfulness, and all staff were very courteous; being only a few miles from Pismo Beach and its tasty eateries, we had a free‑styled trip with no itinerary and would recommend staying here and plan to return.

The view was perfect, but we booked a suite and it was the same size as a regular room; I also didn’t like that the shower had no door, though overall we enjoyed the stay.
