“Hôtes sympathiques et toujours à l'écoute de nos besoins”
Resumo desta avaliação
The guest house sits on the grounds of a former fisherman, about thirty meters from the beach on one side and about twenty meters from the lagoon on the other. The fisherman’s house and his wife are at the back of the property; their son Krishan, a young family man, runs the guest house. The guest house consists of a small restaurant (at the entrance), three cottages clustered in front of the restaurant, another isolated cottage, and two independent rooms located in the only two‑story cottage. All of this is surrounded by a garden of coconut palms, banana trees, and many decorative plants and fruit or flowering shrubs. This setting attracts many small squirrels and birds of all species and sizes. The restaurant menu is varied and the dishes are excellently prepared by Krishan’s mother.
In the room I stayed in, the power outlet was poorly positioned (very high and behind the headboard). As a result, I had to place a piece of furniture underneath that outlet to charge my smartphone. The guest house offers two types of electrical outlets: Type G (like in the UK), compliant with the new Sri Lankan standard, and Type D (like in India), compatible with ungrounded chargers used in the EU. If needed, adapters can be found for 250 Rs at a hardware store near the bus stand.
