“Stark heruntergekommen und erhebliche Mängel bei der Sauberk”
The only thing that stood out was the water bottle provided in the room, but there were no glasses, only individually wrapped plastic cups, which was the only positive thing we could mention. The hotel was very run down and had major cleanliness issues. We booked only one night because we were invited to a birthday party and didn’t want to drive the long way home afterward. Our expectations weren’t high, but a clean and tidy room should be a given. As soon as we entered the lobby, a very unpleasant, harsh smell hit us. The whole hotel looked shabby. The elevator was old and heavily worn; the carpet in the second‑floor hallway was spotted and neglected. Our room was also in poor condition. The furniture was heavily worn and partially damaged. The lighting was sparse, making the room very dark. We first just dropped our suitcase and went to the birthday party. The next morning we took a closer look at the room and were especially horrified by the bathroom. The shower had many spots that looked like mold. The sink wasn’t cleaned properly; there were still residues and nail‑polish stains. Old drill holes could be seen everywhere in the tiles. We avoided showering because of the hygiene state. The beds were also uncomfortable. My husband’s mattress was very hard, while mine was so soft that I practically sank into it. When we checked out, no one was at the reception. We left the room key and left. A hotel can be older, and we don’t expect luxury, but cleanliness and a well‑maintained bathroom should be standard regardless of price. I’m especially shocked that other guests have described similar conditions in their reviews. Apparently it’s not just a single bad experience. For us, this stay was very disappointing.
