Spacious rooms feature air-conditioning, LCD TVs, and tea-and-coffee facilities. Two restaurants serve international cuisine. Guests can relax by the beach, pool, or visit the spa at the sister resort. Activities include tennis, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, and golf at the nearby Ile Aux Cerfs Golf Club.

The place is truly stunning, and the food at all restaurants is fresh and high quality. I was feeling unwell during my holidays, and they were super attentive and helpful—great to have a nurse on the property. We were celebrating my mum’s 60th birthday, and the team at La Pirogue made it memorable. I’d definitely recommend a stay if you want to splurge. The only complaint is that beverage costs are really high when you have halfboard.

We loved the Beach Pavilion (Number 307) where we stayed for a week. It’s in a great spot. We chose half board and dined at The Wolmar Restaurant every evening. Our waitress, Dya, treated us like VIPs, ensuring we were well looked after and pampered. The extensive buffet options at dinner and breakfast were delicious, with each evening’s buffet themed—Mediterranean, Spanish, Italian, Asian, etc. We enjoyed the live music, sometimes with singing and dancing, after dinner. Drinks at the Coconut Cafe were also a treat. Breakfast was delivered to our patio each morning, and colorful birds came for crumbs. Everything about La Pirogue was loved, and we’ll definitely return. Many thanks to all the hardworking staff.

The beach was excellent, and the a la carte restaurant served great food, but the buffet at the main restaurant felt overpriced. The room was acceptable—just a touch smaller than expected.

The resort feels like a dream; the food—whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner—never disappoints. Water is free to tap, and each person receives an extra water bottle. Prices for food and drinks can be disproportionately high, so if you’re not staying in the AI, it’s better to head into town where several restaurants offer excellent food at a fraction of the hotel cost or home price. We stayed in a Premium Bungalow near the beach, but it’s a bit dated. For the lofty rates of the accommodation, a renovation would be in order.
