I was thrilled to find the hotel right next to the airport, and the staff were kind enough to give me an empty room since I was the only woman staying. I worried about the plane noise but it turned out to be fine, and the bed was a bit firm but still great for one night.

The place is literally a stone’s throw from the airport, which made getting there and back a breeze. Nothing else to complain about.

I liked how everything was within a short walk – the airport, a supermarket, bakery, gas station, butcher and pharmacy were all under ten minutes away. The downside was the nighttime noise: planes overhead, neighbors doing karaoke on the weekend, and a few dogs barking during the day. I’m pretty sensitive to sound, so I brought in-ear headphones and a white‑noise track, and that let me sleep fine despite the racket.
