“Atpūta pie dabas”

A very pleasant and cozy place by nature with a sauna. The old‑school interior was charming. Everything was clean and tidy. The host welcomed us, explained everything, and even gave us grill accessories. At the sauna there was a pond where you could swim after the steam. The water pressure was very weak or sometimes nothing came from the tap, but that only happened occasionally. From the parking area you could hear the training of the Adažu polygon, but it didn’t bother us.

“Unbelievably bad host”

I had a horrible experience. The host deliberately does not respond to any messages or calls. Be prepared for all your questions to go unanswered; they just don’t care. First, the host never sent any information. It felt suspicious because I’ve used the platform for years and private hosts usually provide check‑in details before I need to ask, especially since there’s no 24/7 reception and guests need to know the door code or how to get the keys. We were on the way when I tried to contact the host for check‑in instructions but got no reply. I messaged, called, called again later – no response. Because the property is in another country, I didn’t feel comfortable going there knowing there was a high risk that nobody would actually be waiting for us. I waited for hours for any reply, then gave up and stayed home because I didn’t want to end up late at night in a foreign country in front of a locked door. The host has not sent a single message to me to this day, not before or after I tried to contact. Never called back. The booking was for two nights and they didn’t bother to ask if we would arrive for the second night. They are still ignoring me and pretending they don’t see my messages on the platform. When I asked for a refund, the host lied, saying they were waiting for us and we just didn’t show up, not admitting they gave no info and deliberately ignored all messages/calls and never called back. They just want to grab your money and feel that giving any information to you is unnecessary. Really, why would anyone need to know how the keys to the property will be passed? I truly believe one should not be a host if communication with visitors feels so hard. The worst experience I’ve ever had. Save your time and money.

I appreciated how quiet the place was, a real retreat for a small group to unwind together. The building’s old‑world charm made the space feel snug, and the sauna was fantastic—neither too dry nor too humid, just right. The only surprise was the water pump issue; my friends said I seemed rude, which wasn’t my intention—I just communicate differently. Sorry about that.

“Great for large groups”

The house was in a great spot and the host was friendly. We came as a large group and the big house fit us well, though it’s old and could use a few updates. A storm knocked a tree onto the sauna, so we missed that feature. The host kindly offered another nearby house, but we turned it down because we had already checked in and it was late when we returned. The bedding was clean and we had plenty of towels. We stayed in the house with three rooms: a double on the first floor, two rooms on the second floor, a round bed in an open area, and a double plus three single beds in a separate bedroom. The shower, toilet, and kitchen were in the next house, while the third house housed the sauna. The windows had no nets, so mosquitoes and flies were inside the rooms, and the beds were worn and needed replacement. The shower house used a pump, so pressure dropped during use and it took a long time to finish a shower. All three houses are only usable in summer.

“Great Base camp for out group”

The location was peaceful and perfectly suited for our group, and the sauna was a major perk. The only downside was that the food prep equipment needed an upgrade.
