“Large room in a quiet area away from the crowds”
I stayed here for 5 weeks. It’s a great location if you want a quiet spot out of town. It’s a 20‑minute walk to the “main strip” with all the restaurants and shops via a shortcut through the rice fields. There are still several restaurants and minimarkets nearby. I was a bit worried when I arrived because the Wi‑Fi was only 0.1 mbps (unusable). They saw me fiddling with the upstairs router and installed a new one—maybe because I had asked about Wi‑Fi before I arrived. After that I got 10 mbps in my room (good for Amed). It’s 36 mbps from the router by the pool. A long‑term guest told me the Wi‑Fi hadn’t worked upstairs for years until my arrival, so if you were worried about previous complaints, they’ve been fixed, I think. It’s a large room, cleaned once a week. The area is pretty quiet; there’s some noise from the coffee shop across the street, but it stops by 11 pm. I arranged a transfer with them from Sanur with the owner’s son, which went smoothly. The transfer from Amed was less smooth when the driver—called “Uncle” (more of a friend than an uncle)—tried to renegotiate the deal when he picked me up, so check whether the son or a third party is being used.
