The view was great, and the spa, billiards, cinema, and padel facilities were solid, plus the staff and pool were all top‑class and the room was comfortable. The food could have been a touch more refined for a hotel of this calibre, but it was still good.

The hotel offers a stunning view and is 5‑star, with rooms that are very spacious, quiet, and have fresh air. The rooms feel a little dated now, and keep in mind that this resort and the whole coast aren’t really about the sea – you’ll need to drive 10 minutes down and up a hill.

This is the most impressive place I’ve ever stayed at. We were lucky that the hotel was relatively quiet, so we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. The staff were exceptional, and the bar team delivered impeccable service and brilliant cocktails. We stayed in the presidential suite – an enormous space with magnificent rooms. Breakfast was excellent and we also enjoyed the lunch menu. The evening menu could be expanded slightly.
