The locals were very friendly, the bed was comfortable and the shower was good, but the kitchen was closed because they’re changing hands, which isn’t really their fault.

It was cheap, comfortable, and the community‑run bar downstairs was nice, though there was no food; I parked my motorbike in the beer garden, so everything worked out.

The staff—Gary and Keith—were excellent, the community was welcoming and a pleasure to join for a couple of nights, the location was good, and overall the stay was very comfortable and inviting; I highly recommend it. Only one shower/toilet shared between rooms, but that wasn’t a big problem.

The location is great for anyone driving, though parking is limited; the room matched its price and had plenty of bathroom amenities. It felt like a traditional old Welsh pub, quaint with limited bar space, but the staff and locals were friendly. The bathroom was left unclean after use, with many small curly black hairs in the shower and a soaked bath mat, and the kettle in the room was scaly and needed replacement.

The team was wonderfully polite and humble, putting our comfort first.
