The hotel’s location is great and very central, making it easy to get around and explore. The room was spacious and fairly clean. Unfortunately, our stay was seriously marred by privacy and communication problems. During our stay, people entered or were present near our room, and we only noticed this halfway through. Once, we left the shower naked and found a person on the balcony with the door open—extremely uncomfortable and a clear breach of privacy. The next morning, construction began at 7:00 AM and woke us up. Again, we saw people on the balcony area. We told the hotel, but they just said they would inform the owner. I really wish I could have rated this hotel higher, but privacy and feeling safe in your own room are essential for a hotel stay.

The location is in the center of Favignana and very convenient. The terrace with a partial sea view is beautiful, and the room and bathroom are great in size. The room wasn’t very clean and had a few small flaws that should be fixed (for example, the door squeaks against the floor when opened). The hand towels and the bed sheet also had small tears or were damaged. I’d suggest replacing the hand towels and adding two pillows to the bed so guests can choose.

The building feels very old and needs a lot of maintenance. There’s moisture inside the room, no wardrobes, and the windows are worn out. The bed is uncomfortable, but the worst issue is the heavy wooden front door that snaps shut with a lot of force, causing the whole structure to shake. Our room was right above the entrance, so we couldn’t sleep or relax the whole vacation. We told the owners, but they didn’t fix anything.
