Kadek, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. He invited me into his home, offered coffee and cakes, and lent me a traditional costume to join him at a village ceremony—a truly generous welcome. Unfortunately, the room didn’t live up to that kindness: no towels, no toilet paper, a sink with no drainage so water fell on my feet, a hard bed, very basic furnishings, and questionable cleanliness. There was also no staff present, leaving me completely isolated.
