The spot in front of the Sahara dunes is superb, though hard to locate; the easiest way is to head to the Shell station, where Amar will pick us up and walk us to the campsite in about 5 minutes. The departure on a camel: Amar takes us to the rendezvous point and the return is dropped off by the camels at the campsite. Amar is adorable and a great cook. The room is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The big downside is that they don't provide at least a fan—it's around 40 degrees or more in the rooms, making it unbearable! Even leaving the door and windows wide open all night, it's still too hot. I had to sleep with a damp towel on my body to lower the temperature and get some sleep. The neighboring camp plays music too loudly and late, which kept my husband from sleeping, even though we enjoy partying, there's a time when the body needs rest. The heat in the tents and the late music from the neighboring camp are the main negatives.
