Clean rooms, a gorgeous view, and the staff went out of their way to help us carry our luggage down to the lobby—what a great experience! And the MURAH was a delightful surprise!

The small accommodation is quiet for those who want peace, and the terrace is ideal for relaxing while watching the lake. The restaurant offers food that is more than adequate. There are minor maintenance issues in the facilities—nothing serious, but a bit more upkeep would help.

The location offers a superb view of the lake. However, the bedding was uncomfortable, the sheets were not clean, and the room smelled damp.
The location is fantastic; our bungalow opened directly onto the lake and even had a little terrace to enjoy the view. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was good, and just 200 m down the road there’s a wonderful restaurant for dinner. Across from the hotel, the small market and scooter rentals let us explore the whole island freely. We loved this place! Nothing to complain about, everything was perfect.
Reggae is centrally located near great bars and restaurants. We didn’t talk much with the staff, mostly using Google Translate on their phones, but they were present. Reggae lives up to its self‑promotion as interesting lodging at a reasonable price, though it’s not a hotel. We stayed in the Batak house, which had a double bed and a single bed, a good hot shower (bonus), plenty of space, and a nice balcony, but it was a bit shabby around the edges and not pristine—acceptable for what it advertises. The location is great, the private large room is clean and the hot shower works, making it a comfortable place to unwind after a day riding mopeds.
