We were told very late that the restaurant was closed, and when we arrived we discovered we were staying in an annex far from the pool and breakfast options. Overall very disappointing, though they did allow us to cancel the stay and promised a refund, which we’re still waiting for.

The staff were friendly, the view was stunning, breakfast was delicious, and the pool was fantastic. Our room was very spacious, but the mattress was extremely hard and the bed felt small for us Dutch guests, so we ended up either hitting the headboard or the wooden footboard. The price‑quality ratio disappointed us a bit; there seem to be cheaper, better options if you book early. The rooms are furnished with old Tuscan furniture, which I love!

We stayed there once before, 13 years ago, and now booked a week. It’s wonderfully beautiful and quiet. The rooms are rustic yet clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful at all times. The restaurant serves simple but good home‑style food and it’s easy to move from the room to the dining area. The pool is great and well maintained. The view is spectacular. Florence, Pisa, Lucca, and Siena are all easily reachable by car. We’ll come back.

Breakfast was good, the place was very clean, and the staff were great. The room itself was fine, but on the second day the A/C broke down and it got hot. They fixed it within two days.
