“Western accommodations near Mt Fuji and the lakes”
The rooms were huge and had a western style, but dining costs were high; I ended up eating out in town instead.

The place was clean, quiet, and well‑situated, and the staff were very attentive and helpful. The restaurant felt more like a cafeteria than a cozy spot, yet the service remained attentive at all times. The shuttle could include the Hirano bus stop as a standard stop; from there trails begin and the bus returns to Tokyo. I was kindly dropped off there, which I appreciated since I had no car.

The setting was beautiful, but the air‑con in the room didn’t work and it was still very noisy even with it switched off. The onsen kept running water continuously, even with the tap turned tight, making it hard to sleep.

The accommodation had no convenience store and there was no infrastructure around.

The private bath was a plus, but the charging system was confusing.
