Everything was great and hassle‑free for us, and we really enjoyed the breakfast in the cool setting.

The breakfast alone was a treat; homemade pork fat and potato salad were incomparable to other pensions or hotels. The owners were so endearing that we felt like family after a few hours. For geocachers it’s the best starting point to complete the “Sonneninsel Usedom” loop.

I could see the attention to detail, and the innkeeper was very friendly and even picked me up from the bus stop when no bus was running to the island. The breakfast was perfect, with local products and plenty of homemade items. However, my accommodation was too large for me; the dining area was cozy, friendly, and warm. A small room with a bathroom would have sufficed, but I apparently didn’t look closely enough and read too late that it was an option.
