The lodging was on the slope. They cooked wonderfully and offered a choice of two dinner options, with generous portions.

The host was friendly, there was beer on site, and we had a good rest during our trip. The town is pleasant with many places to eat, drink beer, or coffee. We had to order dinner in advance, but we didn’t know about that.

The staff were fantastic—friendly, helpful, hospitable, and always smiling. The location is charming, though finding it can be a bit tricky; a quick phone call gets you there without any hassle.

The ski chalet was picture‑perfect, right on the slopes in Strazne, and the cheerful staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was simple but plentiful, and the homemade local dishes at dinner stole the show. The bar and dining area were great for après‑ski, offering excellent draught beers and quality soft drinks. There was a children’s play corner with games and toys to keep the little ones busy in the evenings. A well‑equipped drying room for ski gear was handy, and communal fridges and microwaves were available in the hallway. The place was spotless and the beds very comfortable. Unfortunately, a recent party had broken the hot tub and sauna, so they were closed when we arrived—a big let‑down since I needed the wellness area for my Multiple Sclerosis. I couldn’t ski as planned and had to move to another place. The host was very apologetic and helpful, even moving our luggage and equipment to the car in the snowmobile, but I wish we’d been told beforehand and given the option to cancel. The location, halfway down the slope with only a pull lift, meant a long steep walk through deep snow and icy patches to get anywhere from the hotel if you weren’t on skis, so families with young kids should plan accordingly. The room was a good size with basic, somewhat dated furniture. It would have been nice to have larger water glasses, a kettle, and cups in the room or hallway. Hot water is available in the bar on request and glasses were provided when we asked. A smart TV that lets guests log into Netflix or Prime Video, plus WiFi that reaches the rooms, would be appreciated. Offering more dinner options, especially for children, would improve the half‑board package.
