The breakfast was excellent, rich, especially the savory side; everything was really good and plentiful. The location is okay, and the bed was a bit small for our habits. The bathroom in the room was more of a closet than a proper bathroom, maintenance was generally lacking (holes in door jambs, etc.), and the window faced a boundary wall with a lot of litter in the space.

The central spot right next to the tube station is perfect for exploring London; breakfast was tasty with a great selection, and the staff were helpful and friendly even when busy. I’d return and recommend it to family and friends. The evening bar was calm, inviting, and served decent cocktails to wrap up the night. The only downside was the lack of an extra person on the desk for early check‑in options.

The area is genuinely nice, with fresh bedding and towels replaced daily. However, the hotel only looks good from the outside and in the lobby; the room is cramped, the carpet is spotted everywhere, and the wallpaper is dirty in many spots. Dust and cobwebs litter numerous corners, and the whole place smells of old kitchen grease. For what’s offered, it’s far too expensive. The front‑desk staff seemed arrogant and not very friendly, and I seriously wonder how this place earned four stars—by German standards it would be worth less than two.

The place is close to Hyde Park, but it was extremely overpriced; I expected more, and Premier Inn offers better rooms for the same cost.
