The common areas were spacious and comfortable, great for meeting people, and there were plenty of showers and toilets. The dorm beds were comfy, but there was no staff contact—check‑in and check‑out were only online.

I wanted to visit Hakone Shrine early in the morning, so staying at a nearby inn with such a low price was a big plus. The cleaning was inadequate, and the lack of staff made women feel uneasy. The self‑check‑in via QR code showed my name, room number, and other guests on the list, so personal data wasn’t protected.

I liked that I could use the range, kettle, and fridge freely, which is a great deal when you consider the cost. The laundry area had spider webs and powder detergent left scattered around, which was annoying.
