Best Western Plus West Edmonton

The spot was handy, right next to West Edmonton Mall, and there were a bunch of eateries in the nearby shopping centers. We liked the pool. The room was spotless, had every advertised feature, and everything functioned properly. The staff were decent, but the service didn’t really stand out. The breakfast was the main let‑down: no fresh veggies or cheese, and the spread felt very different from what we’re used to at European three‑star hotels; it looked like a typical North American breakfast, which didn’t suit our taste. If you’re coming from Europe, don’t expect the same breakfast selection you’re used to at home.

The place was very clean. At check‑out, one staff member was on duty, while six families waited half an hour to be checked in. The phone was ringing off the hook. Other guests returned because their keys didn’t work or they needed towels. It’s a great spot to stay, just needs a few more staff.

“Overall still good.”

The hotel was clean, and we enjoyed the pool. It’s close to WEM. The elevator is only one, small, and too slow. The guy who checked us in wasn’t very welcoming.

“Average Accomodarion- No EV charger.”

The hotel sits in a convenient spot and the bathroom was nicely kept; the duck runner added a playful detail. I had booked an EV destination charger and confirmed it in advance, but when I got there the charger was broken and the staff member was indifferent, offering no alternatives or fixes.

“Excellent accommodations,especially with a pet, but could improve on breakfast.”

The place was clean, welcoming, and my dog was never a problem; he was a real attraction on our walks, and there was a cute little dog park on site—thoughtful and accommodating. I couldn’t eat anything at breakfast because of allergies, and the food variety was not great.
