The house is lovely and steeped in history, the dining room is brilliant, and the location is fantastic.
Everything was exceptional, and Simon really looked after his guests; we would definitely return.

We received a warm welcome, enjoyed a well‑cooked breakfast, and had plenty of space in the lounge, dining room, and garden; the initial access is steep, though an alternative route is offered after booking.
We appreciated how welcoming Simon and his family were, and we were very impressed that a lift was offered from the train station on our arrival and again on our way home; the Chelsea is immaculately clean and comfortable, with areas to relax, play board games, or enjoy outdoor games in the attractive garden. Tea and coffee making facilities were always available in the dining/sitting area. The breakfast choices were excellent, catering for all dietary requirements, and the food was freshly cooked when guests arrived to dine. We also liked the fridge in our room, which was replenished each day with complimentary water and milk—much nicer than a drop of milk in a carton. The toiletries were made by a Welsh company that employs people with additional needs, a nice touch. We had a most enjoyable break and felt that Simon and family work hard to ensure guests have a real home‑from‑home experience; a big thank you to them 😊. There was nothing we didn't like!
