The new bathroom fixtures—tub, toilet, sink, faucets—are great and the room stays very clean, and there are plenty of affordable eateries nearby. However, the AC wasn’t on or set when I walked in, so the room was scorching hot.
The staff were helpful, but the bed sheets were still heavily stained even after washing.

It was on the way to our final destination, so we needed a place to stay for a few hours. Both rooms had filthy lamp shades stained with mildew/mold; everything was sticky, including the lamps, the chain on the door, the remote control, and the door knob. I even found a roach on the air conditioner. All the beds were tiny and rock hard on top of large hollow metal “bins” that made a thunderous noise every time someone turned over. One room had similar conditions, but the AC wouldn’t work when we checked in; we were told it was the breaker. A maintenance man arrived a few minutes later and fixed it. I thought the neighborhood was rough, but it was the middle of the night and we were just glad not to be driving. It was not a good night stay, and the reviews that say otherwise are not true.
