Nothing. They abandoned me and I had to find an alternative all alone in the middle of the night because they wouldn’t open the door and wouldn’t reply to my WhatsApp messages, calls, or emails, even though the booking was confirmed and we had spoken through messages about needing a chair and a desk for work in my room. After ditching me, they blocked me on WhatsApp, so if you actually want to spend the night in a room in Sri Lanka, don’t book with them. Unprofessional/unacceptable behaviour and they wouldn’t open the door for me even though I was trying to reach them and also ringing the bell for more than an hour.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a lovely villa, which offered a peaceful and serene atmosphere, free from any noise pollution. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed that the kitchen and bathroom fixtures were showing signs of wear and tear. The outdoor furniture and hammocks were also in a state of disrepair, and the pool tiles had cracks that made it difficult to walk on without getting hurt.

The massive pool and Ambalana area were absolute highlights, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

I recently stayed at a charming hostel that boasted a beautiful garden with a pool, perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat. However, the tranquil atmosphere was somewhat marred by the hostel's low occupancy, which made it feel eerily quiet. Unfortunately, our stay coincided with a period of limited kitchen usage, which was a drawback considering the otherwise serene surroundings. As the only guests, the hostel lacked the vibrant atmosphere that I had hoped for.

“If you have a scooter and a bit flexible, good location to sleep”

My stay at this lovely property was made all the more enjoyable by the host's exceptional hospitality and the stunning garden. However, I was a bit disappointed by the outdated condition of the rooms and bathrooms, which could definitely benefit from a refresh. Despite this, I would still highly recommend this place for its natural beauty and warm welcome.
