After a long, exhausting trip, I walked in and instantly felt at home; Aroshina surprised me with a warm, delicious homemade lunch that wiped away my travel fatigue, and her cooking is out of this world. The whole family went above and beyond—her husband Manju took me on a tuk‑tuk tour of the area and even dropped me off at the train station when it was time to leave. The spot is ideal—super peaceful with a charming Buddhist temple right next door, a short walk to the shore, a sea turtle hatchery, and great beachside restaurants. I can’t recommend Aroshina enough; it’s warm, authentic, and truly feels like a home away from home. I’m already planning to return with my family just to take one of her cooking classes! 10/10 recommend. ❤️🇱🇰

“The most wonderful homestay!”

This homestay is the most wonderful, with the loveliest family; Aroshina and her relatives were very welcoming and kind, the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, all within 1 KM of the Fort, and I would highly recommend it.
