“Walked out without staying”

The place was very clean and the lady running it was very nice and helpful, but the shower pressure was not good.

The location was great, but the bathroom light kept flickering on and off, making it unusable.

Sapphire Palms was easy to locate and get to, and I appreciated the free room upgrade; the staff were friendly, the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the microwave and fridge were clean and in good order, but the car parked right outside my room had a powerful engine that was started up several times overnight, and the driver seemed unaware of the need to keep mobile‑phone calls quiet at 2 am; I was grateful for the cups, microwave and cutlery in the room, but a dinner plate and a bowl would have been handy; the shower head was clogged or otherwise malfunctioning, causing water to spray in three directions instead of straight down, and the shower doors didn’t close fully, letting water escape onto the floor; none of these issues are insurmountable, but their absence would make a difference.

From the moment we checked in on 4 September, the room was surrounded by loud, escalating voices outside, with harsh language and swearing that carried into the early hours the next morning; the towels were filthy, stained and yellow, the bed headboards were tatty and grimy, the bed linens looked and felt unclean, the room was over‑perfumed, the bathroom door was dirty, and the shower door failed to close properly; we had booked two nights but left the following morning because it was appalling, and we were told the second night was non‑refundable, so I would not recommend this motel to anyone.
