When we left for home, everything was fine until we got locked in the pool area. The room key was broken, so my husband had to get us out; the front desk lady laughed and told us to push a red button, but no sign was visible. My young grandkids were upset, and the hot tub was also not working.

The location was fine, but the hot tub didn’t work, which was why I booked for a romantic stay. Hot water ran out, the ice machines were non‑functional, the cleanliness was lacking, some light bulbs were out, and the carpet in the room was wet.

I appreciated the staff, the pool, the hot tub, and the breakfast, which offered many fresh options and was well stocked. When my husband tried the broken microwave, they escorted him to the working one at the back. The juice tasted natural, and the dark roast coffee was amazing. The first room, 309, had a strong mold smell and an old TV that didn’t let me watch the Cowboys game. Kyndle moved us to 411, where the smell improved and I could see the second half of the game, but the duvet top still smelled like armpit, making me uneasy about the bedding’s cleanliness. I didn’t want to cause a fuss, so my husband and I switched to the other queen bed, which smelled clean. The body wash holder in the bathroom was broken, and the microwave in the breakfast area didn’t work.

The place was a bit tired and worn, but clean and the staff were friendly. The bathroom floor had a loose tile, the faucet handle was missing, and the grab bar in the tub was loose on one end.

The spot was convenient and the indoor pool was pleasant, plus there was a patio with a grill for outdoor cooking. Breakfast offered a decent variety. However, the room felt damp; the carpet and bedsheets were clammy, making the stay uncomfortable. The bed wasn’t made correctly—housekeeping simply laid the duvet cover over the duvet instead of putting it inside, which made me think they only wash covers, not duvets, and that seemed unsanitary. On top of that, a bug was on the ceiling.
