SpringHill Suites by Marriott Kansas City Plaza

“Amazing”

The place was spotless and the team was super friendly. Front desk lady Maddie asked why we were in town, learned it was my kids’ birthday and a trip to the zoo, and then gave us a list of zoo activities, dining spots, and the best coffee shop. She even made a birthday goodie bag and card for my child, which touched my heart as a mom. She’s the reason I’ll definitely return—she’s truly amazing, a rockstar employee.

“Convenient, comfortable and accessible for the plans we’ve made around the hotel!”

The environment was top‑tier, and even though my reservation had a mistake, the property manager Thomas fixed everything. Thanks, Thomas! Parking is a bit tricky, but still doable.

“Awful.”

I was fraudulently charged $350 more than the $162 nightly rate; the front desk staff ignored me four times before I escalated the issue to corporate. The staff were extremely rude, and I was also charged $500 for a one‑night stay.

“Great stay, nice staff, friendly people.”

We had a pleasant stay; all staff were friendly and the pool was clean. Breakfast on Labor Day Weekend was great, and the lady running it managed the crowd, refilled food, and kept everything stocked until closing. I asked for a crib—though the first one didn’t work, the staff got me a functioning one. I appreciated the help and would recommend the hotel to friends and family. The only downside was the fire pit, which either wasn’t working or we didn’t know how to use it—definitely a bummer.

Everything was great, except the pool was too small and when we went to breakfast at 8:30 it was empty of food.
