“Cozy stay in BKK”
I really enjoyed my 3‑night stay at Staybridge Suites Sukhumvit! I love the location – it’s in a less chaotic part of Bangkok, yet still just steps from legit spas, shopping malls, restaurants, and other conveniences. The room was very clean, and I liked the studio‑apartment layout. The gym was also clean, and the Wi‑Fi worked well throughout. Special shout‑out to the male receptionist who checked me in – he was very kind and welcoming. The only area that could improve is the buffet breakfast; the hot dishes could offer more variety – for instance, having one chicken, one beef, one pork, and one fish option instead of repeating the same meat. The pastries, especially the croissants, could also be better. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient stay, and I’d definitely consider coming back. The lady receptionist with long hair who was on the night shift on October 2 was cold and dismissive, which left a negative impression on an otherwise pleasant stay. I had kindly asked if a late check‑out would be possible because I was unwell with food poisoning. I had vomited at Leteva Spa that night and had just bought medication from Fascino Pharmacy. Given the circumstances, I was simply hoping for a little flexibility and understanding. Initially, the receptionist said the latest she could allow was 1 PM. Thankfully, I managed to negotiate an extension until 2 PM. While I understand that late check‑outs are subject to availability and hotel policy, what was particularly disappointing was the lack of empathy and concern shown during the interaction. As a guest‑facing professional, a little compassion and understanding can make a significant difference, especially when a guest is clearly unwell. The dismissive attitude was quite off‑putting and unfortunately affected our overall impression of the hotel.
