The pool on the same floor as my room was a hit with my 3‑year‑old, who was thrilled to swim. It was his first hotel experience, so he was excited about everything. We appreciated the location because it was close to home and thought it would make a nice staycation in MN. The rooms are packed too tightly; I was traveling with a 3‑year‑old and a 1‑year‑old, and the neighbors in the next room kept complaining to the front desk about the TV and my child’s noise. At 1 am, staff knocked on our door telling me to turn off the TV and quiet my son for Saturday night quiet time. Their repeated calls and door‑knocking woke the 1‑year‑old. A male guest who was complaining to the front desk started an argument with my adult daughter while his wife just watched, and we tried to leave. The front‑desk man wouldn’t let us check out because my reservation ran until 11 am, even though we left at 1:30 am. I would not recommend this hotel if you’re traveling with small children.

The location was great and the room was a decent size. The front‑desk staff helped quickly when we reported missing towels. The rooms looked dated, especially the carpets. Breakfast was awful—just pre‑packed high‑fructose corn syrup meals—and the yogurts on the shelf were past their expiration date.

Good bed and linens. Good location. Good breakfast. Great restaurant next door. Friendly staff. TV didn’t work initially. Refrigerator stays on only 3 hours. Broken hinges on cupboard door
