The staff were friendly, the room was spotless, and the rooftop pool was nice with beautiful views. However, I often found the front desk empty when I returned—sometimes for over 10 minutes—so I had to wait on the sidewalk next to a busy street where some people who usually loiter there might not have had good intentions, especially at night. While I was there, I watched from the hotel window as the police shot a man who had just tried to rob a grocery store. On the bright side, the town is charming, full of good people and delicious restaurants.
