“Luna Rossa Roma Guesthouse, May 2026”
The room was small yet fully equipped; a tiny balcony added a nice touch, and the kitchenette featured a microwave, basic crockery, a sink, a fridge, and a kettle. The plumbing was flawless—no odors, no pressure loss—and the bathroom, though compact, worked fine. There was some wall‑through noise, but it wasn’t annoying. Katia was outstanding—she knows Rome inside out, explains transport options, and recommends great local eateries. If you plan to visit the Vatican, take the Trastevere train to St Pietro (two stops) and then stroll along the Jasmine Walk to reach the Vatican walls; it’s a quiet, jasmine‑fragrant path free of traffic. The guesthouse’s location is very convenient, close to Trastevere Station, which serves trains to the airport and into Rome, and where trams and buses also converge. The neighborhood feels a bit rough around the edges, but we had no issues; it’s a local Italian area, not touristy at all. You’ll meet the locals at the coffee bar across the street for breakfast, where the pastries are amazing.
