The location and staff friendliness were good, but I had to pay at the hotel, and yet the hotel had held the entire amount from the day of booking. I don’t think it’s fair to hold everything; in that case Booking shouldn’t say it will be paid directly to the hotel.

The location was great for exploring the city on foot and by tram, with great food markets and plenty of dining options nearby. Unfortunately, the curtains couldn’t block the hotel sign light outside our room.

The location was fine, and the gentleman who was at the reception on the day of departure (Monday 12 October) was kind, as was the same person—probably the manager—who let me leave my luggage at the hotel for three days (picked up on the afternoon of 15 October). The inability to reach the rooms on the upper floors with an elevator, the room being too small, the uncomfortable bathtub, and the lack of convenient power outlets for charging phones made the overall service lacking.

The spot is great, the staff are friendly, but one person couldn’t give us much info about Bordeaux because he said he’s not from the region, and there’s smoking in the hotel lobby. The room lacks soundproofing and the vent makes a lot of noise; the bathroom ceiling has dampness, and we had to plug the kettle under the table because the cord is too short.

The location is superb, right in a shopping street, the room was clean but tight, and the bathroom was newly fitted. The room was extremely small, had almost no storage, the windows faced a light court, and breakfast was decent but rather Spartan with tasteless supermarket cheese—right in France!
